War was made during the first Gulf War in 1990 when the petulant and defeated Saddam Hussein ordered his reteating forces to set fire to Kuwaiti oil wells. Two men stagger under the force of the conflagration, the distant fires are indicated by the flammable material icons while a dirty oily cloud forms above them.

War was the final installment of the Figures in a Landscape series.
