This series of collages, Figures in a Landscape, often feature themes of uncertainty and disorientation, hence the effects of mind altering drugs as a subject made a good fit for the fragmentary visuals of this series.

The figure seen descending some stairs is made from soldering wire -- he is literally wired -- has weirdly extended arms, an idea which came from a scene from the Wes Craven horror movie, Nightmare on Elm Street which I had just recently watched. The red disembodied house with the background of marbled paper provided the hallucinatory landscape of a trip gone wrong.
